Instant Karma Yoga

At Instant Karma yoga is practiced in the heritage tradition of Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar and his family of Pune, India. Iyengar Yoga is unique in that the whole subject of yoga, including ethics & philosophy, breathing, concentration, meditation and consciousness are explained first through postures known as yoga asanas.

Iyengar's contributions to the world of modern yoga are numerous and awe inspiring. One of his greatest gifts to present day practioners world wide is his invention of props for practice for those who need them. Objects like blocks, belts, bolsters, blankets, chairs, sticks and ropes (plus many many more!) can make vital and unique experiences available and intelligent despite our limitations, injuries or illness.  With this intelligent expansion of consciousness come fresh ideas, blooming creativity, growth, strength, development and change. Iyengar gave us an approch that enables us to envision possiblity. He charged us with the duty to seek out the unlimited potential within ourselves with courage, confidence, dedication, humility and love.

Iyengar's family of teachers are sought out world wide for their deep understanding, life long study, dedication and experience. Certified teachers are held to the highest standards and can be recognized by the respected certification mark. Look for the mark!

There is no experience required to take yoga class. Beginners are always welcome.  For locals and visitors alike, drop-in students accepted.

Lori Rodabough

A little history about Lori... Walking into her first class in February 2009 (having no previous background) her connection to Ashtanga Yoga was immediate. Now she has a dedicated and disciplined daily practice, which has been a healing, transformational, and grounding force in her life and it continues to evolve with each passing day. Her practice comes from classical/traditional yoga philosophy, and the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice developed by Sri K Pattabhi Jois. She received her training and certification under the direction of Amy Williams previous owner of 3B Yoga in Provo, Utah. Before relocating to New Mexico, she worked as an instructor at 3B Yoga and have been practicing Ashtanga since 2009! Her teaching technique is unique and full of love, passion and healing. She shares her Guru's feeling that Yoga is for everybody! “Yoga belongs to humanity as a whole. It is not the property of any one group or any one individual, but can be followed by any and all, in any corner of the globe, regardless of class, creed or religion.” - Sri K Pattabhi Jois
